To say our story is "sweet" is quite an understatement.

A shared love of wine and cookies brought Emily and Matt together in Winter 2021. Emily was attending the Annual Rockbrook Wine Walk with her mom, but as luck would have it, the wine was scarce and the cold was persistent. What they needed wasn't another empty tasting glass, but a sweet treat. Fortunately, Rockbrook was home to Mary's Mountain Cookies, a local cookie store known for its massive and unique dessert creations. Upon entry, Emily's eyes quickly diverted from the delicacies behind the display case to the attractive gentleman behind the counter. The said gentleman happened to be Matt, a friend of the owner. Matt, equal parts nervous and captivated, did what most in his position would do: he enthusiastically helped Emily's mom select the perfect chocolate chip cookie, while trying to appear casual to Emily.

Emily and her mom left Mary's Mountain Cookies with two cookies in hand, while Matt was left with an open heart and curiosity.

Fortunately, Emily had "a look you don't forget" (as Matt described her), making it easy for Matt to track Emily down on the dating apps. Matt sent Emily a message, "How was your blueberry oat cookie at Mary's Mountain last weekend?" And the rest is history.
